Description

The agency has six FH (Fire Hydrants) around site that are in need of remedial work. This was highlighted in the report after having annual inspection and tested by Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue. The report indicated a list of remedial works to the FH which are not compliant and are leaking due to age. The most viable option is to replace all of the six hydrants with the associated valves.

The scope of the project is to replace the Fire Hydrants with the associated valves as well as the mains water isolation valves, the work will include excavation to remove the existing FH. The new FH will need to be flushed and tested, to ensure the working area is free of the buried utilities and reinstatement to match existing surfaces.
