Description
A Catering Service is required for Bishops Hatfield Girls School. On 1st January 2012, the school converted to Academy status and are now an Academy trust and therefore a company limited by guarantee.
Bishop's Hatfield Girls' School is a fully comprehensive school for girls serving the local communities of Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and outlying villages. The Academy has a wide catchment area as many families living further away (eg. Potters Bar and Knebworth) seek access to single sex education.
The Academy has been selected as one of the first schools to be rebuilt under the new Priority Schools Building Programme with a target move date of 3rd November 2016. The contract for the building has been awarded to the consortium Interserve Kajima and as well as the construction of the building, the contract includes provision of certain fixtures and fittings including fixed kitchen equipment as well as certain elements of facilities management for 25 years.
The catering contract start date is 1st August 2016 and therefore for the first half term provision will be in the old school buildings. The move will then be made into the new building over an extended half term break with pupils arriving for their first day in the new premises on Monday 7th November.
The estimated total value of the Contract is approximately £540,000 and is for the core Contract period and also includes the approximate value for extension[s]. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual Contract value is approximately £108,000. The Contract will be awarded for a core period of three years, with the option to extend the Contract up to two further years. Please note that the Contract requirements will be subject to available financial resources, supplier performance and flexibility to meet changing demands.
