Description
The BFI plans to construct a large temporary cinema on a Central London site for the duration of the 60th BFI London Film Festival (site already selected, subject to local authority licensing approval - application in progress). The site will provide an appropriate production environment to present high-level red carpet premieres in the company of visiting A-list talent and filmmakers. The temporary auditorium will provide warm and comfortable cinematic surroundings, with high-quality digital cinema capability (installed and managed by BFI technicians), and approximately 780 cinema-style audience seats. Box office facilities and cinema concessions will also form part of the surrounding site, and are required as part of this project build.
