Description

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of the works includes 15 viaducts, 5 km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 81 bridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.

EKFB are looking for a competent contractor to provide the uninterrupted power system to the portal building . The specification outlines the design and operational requirements for a dual redundant UPS system with an N+N configuration for 2 x 150kVA inverters, each supporting a load of 45kVA. The UPS units will be located in LV switch rooms A & B, ensuring uninterrupted power during mains failure and facilitating maintenance and emergency operations. All switchgear, switchboard, submains, and distribution boards shall have at least 10% spare capacity for future use. Surge protection devices (SPDs) will be provided at the incoming supply side of the LV Main Switch Board and at the distribution board for critical loads.
