Description
West Northamptonshire Council are seeking to upgrade the roof and refurbish the windows located at 24 Guildhall Road. The site is prominently located within Northampton's Cultural Quarter and the Derngate Conservation Area. We understand that the office building was originally constructed in c;1935 with an approximate Gross Internal Area of 2100 sqm spread across the 5 existing storeys which includes a basement.
The Works include but are not limited to: -
• To provide new Garland StressPly Plus Bitiminous Waterproofing System (or similar approved) with new cut to falls insulation to drain water efficiently to existing parapet outlets.
• Installation of permanent roof protection (for phase 2 roof plant access)
• Redecoration/refurbishment of windows/doors.
• Re-pointing masonry/making good.
• Redecoration of rainwater goods.
• Scaffolding.
• New ladders/access.
