Description

The Leeds University Union (LUU) building refurbishment is currently underway, with the Foyer, Union Square and Hidden Café, due for completion in Summer 2017.
The LUU have worked with students to develop the integrity of the design, so it can provide areas for meeting, for eating and for retreating.
The variety of spaces offered in the Union are necessary to support student life and study.
The client is keen for the furniture to offer diversity within the interior, whether it is to grab a coffee, meet with a friend, or sit and catch up on your email.
The three different areas are a move away from other break out areas in the University and the interior design schemes are quirky, on trend and a reflection of the LUU branding identity.
The furniture proposed within this specification demonstrates the styles and aesthetics that are important to the client. This document should be read in conjunction with the
spreadsheet, which lists requirements and quantities. This should aide the space planning process
The returned tenders are expected to consult the styles of the furniture outlined in this document to inform their choice of products that they enter in the tender. The University would
like to be presented a series of furniture layouts which will correspond with the tender submission of products.
While the University aims to gain value for money from the winning tender, the tender submission will be assessed on appropriateness of product, durability and aesthetics.
