Description
DMBC propose to undertake much needed ( and long overdue) repairs and maintenance to the Council House structure as well as alterations and improvements to the internal accommodation at the Council House to provide improved and additional desk spaces to meet the future needs of the Council and address accessibility issues.
It has been proposed that the alterations and improvements should be undertaken in a phased manner in order to minimise disruption to building users .
The first phase of the works is to the 1st floor of the Main Council House building , and specifically the management suite of offices on the top floor to include the Council Chambers , committee rooms 1,2 and 3 together with associated office and welfare areas . In addition to refurbishment of rooms , there are a number of areas on the top floor that will receive building alterations and works to suit the changing use of the building to create a stimulating working environment
