Description

The Procurement team has sourced a supplier to provide a platform for the Fund to meet carbon reduction targets by 2030. The Fund's Corporate Plan (2024-27), has an objective (in corporate objective 2 - advancing funding practices) to 'put environment at the heart of our funding and operations) by being 'an exemplar in managing our own environmental impact by working towards net zero and sharing our practice along the way to inspire others' (strategic priority 4). This aligns with the Fund's Environment Plan (2023-2030), EP Goal 3 to achieve carbon neutrality, and move towards being a Net Zero (NZ) organisation by 2030, specifically EP3d (we will establish a NZ emissions baseline, including a better understanding of our Scope 3 carbon footprint, and set a pathway to achieve NZ emissions by 2030).

Climate Essentials is a SME. Its Supply Chain enables organisations to measure, understand, and reduce carbon emissions across their supply chain. Addressing the challenge of supporting suppliers who aren't mature enough to measure their carbon emissions, offering differentiation, regulatory preparedness, and future-proofing benefits.

The platform will need to:
- Provide a dashboard to measure, monitor and reduce all carbon emissions across the Fund's supply chain;
- Facilitate the use of Climate Essentials so suppliers can submit and measure their carbon emissions in relation to their carbon footprint with the Fund;
- Support stakeholder and supplier relationships to ensure the Fund's NZ targets are met;
- Through use of the software, upskill and educate the Fund's suppliers on net Zero, sustainability, and climate change;
- Ensure value for money by ensuring carbon reduction;
- Allow suppliers to report on their social value aspects, such as fighting climate change;
- Provide all engaged suppliers with access to the Net Zero Community which provides learning resources, guides, webinars and discussion forums.

Optional 12-month extension value: 19,600.00 GBP (excluding VAT).
