Description
The University of Southampton has recognised India as one of the strategic partner countries for our internationalisation agenda. The Southampton India Centre was created to realise our ambition nearly two years ago. Its mission is to deliver interdisciplinary evidence-based solutions; unlock opportunities for policy change, inclusive growth and sustainable development; and generate high impact research and enterprise activities, engaging researchers, policymakers, business and industry partners in India and the UK.
Established in March 2019, the Centre has already delivered significant developments including flagship impact-oriented research projects, distinguished lectures, internships, partnership developments with Indian institutions, government agencies, business and enterprise activities including engagement with media, creative and visual arts. Through our activities, we aim to contribute to the broader agenda of deepening and diversifying UK-India relations by creating value over the next three years with sustainable outcomes benefitting the University over the next decade and beyond.
The scope of this exercise is to appoint an individual and acquire insight and resource to enable relevant strategy work; advisory support; market intelligence; and facilitated introductions to relevant business opportunities and external contacts.
