Description
The work package outlines the need for additional tasks to be added to those already underway for a proof of concept, which is taking place in Area 14 to undertake flown remote sensing surveys using Hyperspectral imagery, LiDAR and RGB photogrammetry. The original task was due to complete in March 2019; the additional tasks will move the proof of concept completion to September 2019 to allow for validation of the hyperspectral, LiDAR and aerial photography. It will also ensure the effective collaborative relationship between Network Rail and Highways England continues.
This is a cross collaboration proof of concept between Highways England and Network Rail to undertake flown remote sensing surveys using Hyperspectral imagery, LiDAR and RGB photogrammetry. The data outputs will be processed and - Support Highways England personnel through knowledge transfer and technical skills building
- Assist Highways England personnel in stakeholder engagement to communicate the objectives, benefits, progress and outcomes of the project
