Description

Background: Animal Care is a key part of Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education's curriculum designed to equip Learners with the skills to progress their careers in areas such as Veterinary Nursing, Kennel and Cattery, Animal Welfare and Dog Grooming. This hands-on course offers Learners the chance to experience a wide variety of animals where they will learn how to care for them from animal health, nursing, kennel management, welfare and biology, feeding and accommodation.

Historically this need has been offered from our adjacent Nunsthorpe site however the offer has become dated in the context of our competitors. Following a detailed appraisal of various options, the Institute has decided to relocate these facilities into a 'state of the art' new build located on our main site in Grimsby.

All elements of this project will require full liaison and co-operation with Principal Designer in the development of Health and Safety Files and as fitted drawings.

TEC Partnership has named a number or products on the drawings/specifications based upon a technical assessment and/or previous use, however the contractor is permitted to offer an alternative if it fully matches the specified technical performance of the named product. If proposing an alternative, an example and full technical specification will need to be provided with your submission and will be subject to approval of the Group Director of Estates.
