Description

U-trough scope

Supply 2000 [two thousand] linear meters of U-trough lids for installation into the Washwood Heath Retained Cut at Railway base slab level.

An outline design of the U-trough lid system has been proposed by BBV. See Drawing number 1MC08-BBV_MSD-GT-DDE-NS03_NL08-760255 C01.

A similar solution OR an alternative solution is required from the Supplier to satisfy the requirements detailed in 1MC08-BBV_MSD-GT-DDE-NS03_NL08-760255 C01 taking particular care of the resistance to uplift forces and installation methodology.

The Supplier's proposed solution will need to conform with the Acceptance Criteria of different stakeholders including HS2 Ltd before being put into production.

The Supplier is to manufacture the full quantity of U-trough lids required by BBV in conformance with BBV's Quality Management requirements.

The Supplier is to ensure all of the material is delivered safely to the Washwood Heath site and packaged in a way that can be easily lifted by mechanical means.

BBV is planning to install the U-trough covers starting April 2026.

The Supplier should consider and advise BBV whether they wish to install the U-trough covers.
