Description
Copeland Borough Council is currently producing a new Copeland Local Plan 2017-2035 and is updating its evidence base to support and inform the new Local Plan. An important part of the evidence base is understanding and planning for green spaces and the Council is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced consultants to:
• Produce an updated Open Space Assessment
• Review and recommend Protected Green Spaces for the Local Plan
This piece of work is being commissioned alongside a Settlement Landscape Character Assessment that will consider the capacity and potential for development around the edge of settlements in the borough, together with any areas that should be protected. As such the two pieces of work will need to be produced in conjunction with one another to ensure consistency, and may provide opportunities for economies of scale and other benefits.
Further inforamtion and the tender documents will become available upon expressing an interest in the opportunity via the Chest procurement Portal
