Description

Derbyshire County Council is undertaking a Flood Alleviation Scheme in land south and east of Lower Hartshay to protect a number of properties that have been subject to flooding from both surface water and ordinary watercourses. Lower Hartshay is located at the base of a steep sided catchment and The Council seek to install additional drainage and improve the current system to collect and pass on flows around the settlement into the disused Cromford Canal. The area of the proposed works is to the south and east of the properties on Canalside and Bridle Lane (refer to the Site Location Plan). The value of this project is estimated to be around £60,000.
