Description

Barrow-in-Furness Borough Council is looking to contract with a supplier to deliver Phase 1 of a high quality renovation at the Dock Museum Site. We have created a design and are currently pulling together the necessary tender documents for the project to be pushed live via the CHEST Portal.

We are giving you early access due to the work needing to be carried out and completed prior to 30th November. There is no possible deviation for work to be carried out after this date as the project funds have been granted as part of the FCC Communities Foundation. As such the time for the tender documents becoming available and closure of the tender opportunity will be approximately 3 weeks.

The budget for the works is fixed to a maximum of £53,600. The tender will contain some provisional items that will be called off as required. Tenders will be evaluated on quality and price. The contract is to be 5 - 6 Weeks (MAX), works include:
• Excavation of hard and soft material and removal off site.
• Loading, transporting, delivery and spreading of new soils.
• Hard Landscape Works (Footpaths)
• Fencing
• Supply, delivery and planting of very large mature trees.
• Soft landscape works, grading, turfing, shrub planting.
• Reconfiguration of artist sculptures.
• Supply, delivering and installation of bespoke street furniture.

The form of contract will be the JCLI Works Contract 2017.
