Description

***THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION**** This contract has been awarded on RM6188 Audit & Assurance Services (A&AS) - Lot 4.

We are looking to appoint a new Independent Administrator to support UK EITI in its work
with the extractive sectors and relevant government and public agencies around the UK.
This follows the conclusion of the contract with our current Independent Administrator. If
the Government is unable to appoint an Independent Administrator it will fail in its
commitment to meet the terms of the EITI Standard.
The work of the Independent Administrator focuses on, but is not limited to, preparation of
an annual UK EITI Payments Data Report, as required by the EITI Standard. The report
covers payment flows between oil, gas and mining companies and relevant Government
and public agencies. The report, alongside other disclosures prepared by UK EITI, aims
to:
- inform public understanding of the economic and tax contribution of these sectors
- inform public debate about the future of these sectors, covering issues such as the
transition to a low carbon economy and associated economic opportunities,
decommissioning of North Sea fields etc.
- provide assurance that the relationship between government and public agencies and these sectors is free from corruption
