Description
The South Worcestershire Development Plan Review (SWDPR) Malvern Hills AONB Environs Landscape and Visual Sensitivity Study is required to cover the Malvern Hills area (as shown within the tender documentation), but does not include the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty itself, as considering landscape and scenic beauty in such designated areas has the highest status of protection in the National Planning Policy Framework. The Study will enable the South Worcestershire Councils to determine which areas of land warrant further planning appraisals, e.g. transport etc, with a view to potentially allocating them for employment / housing or leisure / tourism / sports or recreational development.
