Description

bpha has a number of tower blocks in Bedford that were constructed in the 1950-1960s, ranging from 7 to 15 storey in height. These now review require extensive improvement. This is a significant and high profile programme within bpha that is likely to take several years to complete and will encompass both refurbishment of existing blocks and further development through site densification, where appropriate. Phase 1 of the programme has identified 3 initial sites - encompassing 265 existing homes - where the scope of works is relatively clear and where bpha has procured conceptual proposals. bpha are intending to develop designs to the end of RIBA Stage 3 with their existing design consultant - and seek planning approval for their proposals - before looking to engage a contractor partner (or partners) to join the team and deliver the works. bpha are seeking expressions of interest from companies who have suitable experience in delivering such works to discuss the conceptual proposals and allow bpha to understand how potential bidders may be able to bring additional value and assurance to the delivery of the programme and to discuss optimal routes for procuring such work. If you would like to discuss the programme or express interest please register your details via email to procurement@bpha.org.uk

NOTE: Both Contract value and Contract start/end dates are current estimates and may vary according to development of the programme of intended works.
