Description

Site 1 - Mottram Road Retaining Wall (633N) Mottram Road Retaining Wall (633N) is a 154m long masonry wall that acts as a boundary wall between the A57 Mottram Road and an adjacent vegetated embankment on the bank of Godley Brook. The land behind the wall is owned by Tameside MBC. The work is to ideally be undertaken before March 2017 to avoid the bird nesting season from November to March inclusive. Site 2 - Walkerfold Culvert (015) Walkerfold Culvert carries Werneth Brook from south to north beneath Mottram road A57 Hyde. The culvert comprises three types of construction, from the inlet; Ch 0 -16.825m comprises a 900mm Circular Brick Culvert, Ch.16.825-61.35m comprises a brick arch culvert of varying dimensions, Ch. 61.35m - 67m comprises stone slabs. The culvert has a formed stone invert throughout its length. A CCTV investigation has noted several areas of flattening of the arch section, including beneath the carriageway
