Description
Human blood. Bromley CCG is seeking expressions of interest from organisations in providing phlebotomy across the borough under a Lead Provider framework. Currently, walk-in phlebotomy clinics are provided by King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and booked appointments by about half of our GP practices. Following a comprehensive review of access to phlebotomy services in autumn 2015, the CCG is seeking a provider of phlebotomy that will offer swift, equitable and local provision of booked appointments across the borough. This will comprise:
•Booked appointment clinics across the borough, making best use of general practice (patient feedback is very positive about phlebotomy in general practice).
•Adult and paediatric provision
•Short waiting times for appointments
•Booked appointments available within 5 working days.
•Clinic opening times from 0730 minimum in all locations and some clinics open after 5pm.
•High quality delivery by fully trained phlebotomists
The walk-in service at King's College Hospital will be retained. The booked appointment service will work closely with King's College Hospital Pathology Department for the transportation and testing of blood samples.
If known, estimated cost excluding VAT: 196,660
