Brief Description of Requirement

UKRI NERC is seeking an academic or a small academic team in biodiversity/conservation science, environmental economics and/or related interdisciplinary research to provide short-term research and innovation focussed academic expertise to ensure the forthcoming Economics of Biodiversity strategic research programme supports recent developments in the area and is appropriately structured to deliver to these developments as well as its identified goals.

The Pre-programme Adviser will critically review and revise the existing concept for a new research programme The Economics of Biodiversity, which is intended to address key research questions where investment could make a step change in this area. The Pre-programme Adviser will provide expertise to inform NERC planning of programme activities to ensure the programme will deliver its goals.

The Contract duration shall be for a period of four months, from August 2021 to December 2021 with the option to extend for an additional month on a time-only basis for completion of non-time critical deliverables.
