Description

Compounds, Highway Crossings and Public Rights of Way will be required to be gated in accordance with HS2 standards and meet stakeholder requirements, in the vast majority of areas this will be a post and wire or rail combination with more substantial fencing adjacent to conurbations or high risk areas. The crossings are to follow a set design which is heavily dependent on automation and monitored by CCTV (separate contract). The compounds will require hoarding on the road side of the compound with mesh fencing on sides facing away from the highways, this will also include field gates to enter the construction area. The main access and egress points will be controlled by security teams and will require fencing and gates to prevent protestors 'locking on'. There is a requirement to automate as much of the private car entry to site as reasonably possible.
