Description

2369/452/LM/IMG/19 Autonomous Guide Vehicle

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for an automated guided vehicle on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

Scope of Requirement
The supply of an autonomously guided vehicle (AGV), sometimes known as an autonomous mobile robot (AMR), to enable the automatic cleaning and sealant application of aircraft wing spars of up to 17 m length without requiring a robot rail.
A KUKA KR60 HA and controller will be mounted to the AGV, along with two end effectors (cleaning + sealing), a PLC control cabinet, and end effector controllers. This equipment shall be mounted via an interface plate, which is to be bolted to the AGV top surface.
