Description

The Council is aiming to support Watford SME businesses to recruit and retain their staff, increase their productivity, and grow their business by commissioning a skills brokerage project from June/July 2024 for a period of 10-12 months.

The Service will support employers to identify training needs of their staff, create training plans, and source appropriate training for employees. The programme will provide an independent, impartial advice service for SMEs within Watford, and support them to engage effectively with education, employment and training solutions.

The overall objectives of the programme are to:
•increase business productivity and growth
•help address skills shortages in the local economy
•help businesses retain staff
•help people progress in their careers and have job security
•help keep good quality jobs in Watford
•equip and empower employers to be able to support their staffs' future training needs, ensuring longevity of the impact of the programme
