Description

Under the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002, all applicants aged 18 years or over who are accepted for naturalisation or registration as a British citizen must take a citizenship oath and pledge at a citizenship ceremony.

The heart of the citizenship ceremony will involve prospective citizens making an oath or affirmation to Her Majesty the Queen and a pledge of loyalty to the United Kingdom after which a certificate will be presented.

The purpose of this procurement (RFQ) is to identify a catering service for these ceremonies. There role will be to provide specific refreshments at Citizenship Ceremonies services on behalf of the Kent County Council.

The services currently take place at Oakwood House, Oakwood Park, Maidstone, Kent, ME16 8AE, but may take place at an alternative venue in the Maidstone area. Generally, there are two ceremonies a week, currently on Monday at 10am and 12pm. Sometimes there are less ceremonies and sometimes more, however there will be prior notice provided in of at least 1 month for all ceremonies.

The deadline for response will be set at 12pm on 01/05/24.
