Description
Sefton Council are seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to undertake classified traffic counts and surveys across the borough of Sefton for a period of 3 years from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2027 with an option to extend on a year by year basis to 31st March 2029 subject to performance (3 + 1 + 1).
The count information will be used to assess traffic conditions, pedestrian and cycle activity in different locations across the Borough, in order to provide a basis for assessment and possible further development into traffic schemes, area studies and different options for junctions.
Anticipated surveys required as part of this contract are:
• Turning Count Surveys
• Automatic Traffic Counts
• Car Park Surveys using ANPR
• On street parking surveys
• ANPR with ATC
• Radar Surveys for vehicle speed
• On Street Interviews
• Annual Pedestrian Crossing Review
The number and type of counts required during the term of the Contract can't be determined with any accuracy at this stage. However, the schedule of the counts which are set out in APPENDIX 3 PRICING SCHEDULE.xlsx and which form the basis of the financial assessment of the quotation represent the anticipated composition of the type and nature of traffic surveys that the Council would expect to procure through this contract within any 12 month period.
