Description

Health Education England are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to The Faculty of Public Health.

The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal.

HEE is seeking provision of training for the PH Practitioners in the Midlands aligned to the professional standards for practitioner registration set out by the UKPHR (UK Public Health Register). The training is specifically to refresh practitioner knowledge and competency against these standards.

HEE believes that it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be able to provide the following skills/tools provided by FPH as a current supplier for the following reasons:

1. FPH is the national body for overseeing the quality of training and professional development of public health consultants in the UK to make a positive change to the public's health. It is a membership organisation for nearly 4,000 public health professionals across the UK and around the world. It is a registered charity whose role is to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities and national populations.
2. FPH has access to expertise in advancing public health workforce development and as the professional body, FPH exists to provide its members with professional representation and support for their professional development.
3. The FPH accredited practitioner programme of workshops has been endorsed by Skills for Justice awards

For the Specification, Contract and the Case for Direct Award please access the portal at:

All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family eTendering portal.

If any provider has concerns with the commissioning intentions outlined within the published documentation, please raise this via the eTendering Portal in the first instance within 30 days of the date of this Prior Information Notice.

The closing date of this PIN is midday on 29 December 2021
