Description
The UK Department for International Trade (DIT) has assessed the Indian Oil & Gas Sector and allocated it High Value Campaign (HVC) status. This means that India is considered to be a priority market for UK supply chain companies.
Substantial increases in investment are expected within the next 10-year period in India's upstream, mid-stream and downstream sectors, in line with India's policy to increase its own oil & gas production to meet domestic consumption needs and decrease the dependency on imports. Amongst other activities, this will include the development of newly discovered hydrocarbon resources in the deep-water east coast region and a major expansion of the country's gas transmission and distribution networks.
DIT intends to take forward a targeted, demand-driven campaign to position and highlight UK technologies and services at the early decision-making stages of project life cycles, to ensure that operators and investors are aware and can consider the additional value that can be provided by UK suppliers and services providers.
We are looking to support oil and gas production enhancement (and broader energy distribution and security) in India through the analysis of the value that UK technologies and services could add to Indian oil and gas production and broader energy security.
The output of this research should provide detailed insight into how UK companies can work collaboratively with Indian companies to achieve this objective - i.e. the value that UK companies could bring to the table.
We are asking the Consultant to identify UK technologies and services that will add 'value' to future projects and operational execution. The consultant should give a description of what the 'value' will represent e.g. improved hydrocarbon recovery, reduced capital costs, reduced on-going operational maintenance costs.
