Description

The proposed Start Up Telford Scheme, funded via UK SPF, will continue and build on the work of successful ERDF funded provision in Telford and Wrekin; the Marches Step-Up Programme (MSUP). This new provision will be delivered across Telford & Wrekin only and will be fully funded for borough residents.
Taking lessons from the original schemes, the support offered will solely focus on those at pre-start up stages and will be an end-to-end service from initial triage of enquires through to an element of aftercare.
The objectives of the new start-up scheme are:
i. Undertake market engagement.
ii. Initial advisory support to help assess whether a business proposal is a viable career option and identify initial support requirements.
iii. Provision of a high-quality tailored package of business start-up support for aspiring entrepreneurs to start a business (including social enterprises) equipping individuals with the necessary confidence, awareness, knowledge, and skills to plan for and then launch a business.
v. Aftercare and referral to other business support programmes, if applicable.
