Description

Central and North Manchester Alternative Provider Medical Services

North of England Commissioning Support is working for and on behalf of NHS England: Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (the Contracting Authority) who wish to commission Central and North Manchester Alternative Provider Medical Services.

The contract term will be for 5 years with effect from 1 October 2017.

The service will be procured in Lots as follows:

Lot 1 - New Bank Health Centre, 339 Stockport Road, Longsight, Manchester, M12 4JE;

Lot 2 - Simpson Medical Practice, Simpson Memorial Hall, Moston Lane, Moston, Manchester, M40 9NB

Lot 3 - Charlestown Medical Practice, Charlestown Road, Blackley, Manchester, M9 7ED and Victoria Mill, 10 Lower Vickers Street (off Varley Street), Manchester, M40 7LJ.

The basic principles that mirror that of the Open Procurement route will be followed for this procurement to test the capacity, capability, and technical competence of tenderers in accordance with The Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 the Contracting Authority must consider:

(a) how, what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the area where it exercises its functions, and
(b) how, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing that improvement

Accordingly, the subject matter of the contract has been scoped to take into account the priorities of the Contracting Authority relating to economic, social and environmental well-being.
