Description

Glen Parva Parish Council invites tenders from suitably skilled contractors for the design, supply and installation of a new Multi Use Games Area (MUA) on the designated site on the Dorothy Avenue Playing Field, Dorothy Avenue, Glen Parva, Leicester LE2 9JD.

The MUGA must have enclosed goal ends, a 3m high fence all the way around and porous tarmac surface. Chicane entrances on both sides with suitable disability access via the pathway to the play area. Maintenance and emergency access to the MUGA via a locked gate. Suitable football goal posts and appropriate basketball posts with backboards, rings and nets to be recessed at both ends of the play area and court markings required for football, basketball and fence mounted cricket wickets.

The approximate area is 22m x 15m and the Parish Council would like the MUGA to fit that area or as near as possible.

All precautions to protect the integrity of the site and adjoining paths, car park and property must be taken. The public must not have access to any of the contractor's items or materials being used as part of the contract. The contractor shall safeguard the works with temporary barricading of a "Heras" type of at least 2m in height. The fence panels shall be constructed so that they deter climbing and will be anchored into freestanding concrete/rubber blocks, the panels locked to prevent unauthorised access. The fence to be installed before commencement of works and removed from site following completion of works including ground reinstatements.

All waste must be removed from site and disposed of responsibility and all relevant legislation and British Standards will be adhered to.

A copy of your risk assessment for the site must be provided to the Parish Manager before commencement of works along with a copy of your Public Liability Insurance.

Please apply via email to manager@glenparvaparishcouncil.org.uk quoting GPPCMUGA in the subject line.
