Description

The HM Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) describes the pre-employment process for all public sector staff, contractors, and consultants. It must be fully completed before an individual is permitted access to (a) unescorted access to Homes England premises; (b) a Common Civil Service Pass; (c) official electronic equipment; (d) access to the corporate digital network, including through their own device via Microsoft Office 365; or (e) access to material classified OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE (other than what is required for their own recruitment). It is also the precursor to carrying out National Security Vetting (NSV) clearances.\r
