Description
The aim of the Service is to provide high quality, responsive and clinically safe GP Out of Hours (OOHs) care accessible to the local population across Stafford and Surrounding villages, Cannock Chase and South East Staffordshire that supports system resilience across the health economy and improves patient experience and outcomes. The service forms an integral part of the emergency and urgent care system and enhances the provision of urgent care services provided in south Staffordshire. In addition the service will include out of hours care to prisoners within Staffordshire .
Contract length will be for 36 months with the option to extend by 24 months at the discretion of the CCGs. Anticipated start April 2018

"Light Touch Regime" services: This procurement is for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations ("Regulations"). Accordingly, the contracting authorities are only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authorities are not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations. The procedure which the contracting authorities are following is set out in the MOI.
