Description
The Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (IESCCG) and The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust (IHT) are exploring the opportunity to secure a community partner to help deliver transformation of Gastroenterology Services. The successful Partner will be working as part of an alliance with IES CCG and IHT to co-produce and deliver transformation over 5 years. This could include provision of a Single Point of Access, triage, outcome based measurement, diagnostics and community outpatient clinics.
The annual Gastroenterology budget is circa 23 000 000 GBP with the contract value for this opportunity to be in the region of 10 000 000 GBP. This is an estimation due to the potential for change over the lifetime of the contract, and due to the activity based payment mechanism of the contract.
Providers interested in delivering the gastroenterological community elements would need to demonstrate they have proven capability to:
- Deliver at scale diagnostic tests and services including a minimum of 5 000 endoscopies per year and be able to flex up to 10 000 per year to accommodate predicted growth.
- Achieve Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation at existing sites and commit to securing JAG accreditation at the earliest opportunity.
- Secure CQC accredited premises outside of the acute premises. Set up costs to be met by the provider and recovered through volume based payments over the life of the contract.
-Work cooperatively within an alliance to deliver transformation whilst maintaining quality, reducing costs and ensuring sustainability.
- Operate and maintain gastroenterological community services such as first and follow up clinics.
- Implement referral management and triage services.
- Secure and maintain an appropriately trained and competent workforce.
