Description
This contract is for the provision of a framework by a single operator and a reserve Operator for Framework Agreement for the Maintenance, Service and Repair of Powered, Pedestrian, Industrial, Automatic, Garage Doors and Roller Shutters ("the Contract") to Durham County Council and affiliated bodies.
This framework is to cover the Framework Agreement for the Maintenance, Service and Repair of Powered, Pedestrian, Industrial, Automatic, Garage Doors and Roller Shutters within County Council facilities and any additional facilities which may be added to the duration of the framework.
The contract is to cover a wide and diverse range of properties, at present there are approximately 334 establishments including office accommodation, public buildings, educational establishments including Academies, leisure facilities, fire and rescue stations etc.
There will be a requirement for the successful Contractor to provide unlimited emergency call outs 24-hour, 365 days a year, response times shall be within 4 hours. The following manufacturers systems are representative of the Council's current estate but are not exclusive; Dorma, Abloy, Besam and Solex.
This Framework will be available for use by Durham County Council, and the following additional Contracting Authorities, where they have entered into a Procurement Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Durham County Council:
- Academy Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts in County Durham and Darlington,
- Maintained Schools in County Durham and Darlington,
- County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service,
- Durham Constabulary and the Office of the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner,
- County Durham Housing Group
- Parish Councils and Town Councils in County Durham.
In the addition to the above the Framework may also be made available to not for profit Community Leisure Organisations and again further organisations, again where these have entered into a Procurement SLA with Durham County Council.
