Description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden and GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement - Midlands are inviting suitably qualified providers who are capable of delivering General Dental Services for the following:

Lot 1 - Leicester (Extended Access)
15, 000 UDAs, to provide general dental services within Stonegygate/Evington ward. Services to provide 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm. Activity being recommissioning due to rebasing contracts and activity following a death of a contractor.

Lot 2 - Melton Mowbray (Extended Access)
31, 000 UDAs, to provide general dental services. Services to provide 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm. Activity is being recommissioned following a closure of a practice.

Lot 3 - Mablethorpe (Extended Access)
18, 800 UDAs, to provide general dental services. Services to provide 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm. Activity being recommissioned following closure of practice.

Lot 4 - Boston (Extended Access)
15, 000 UDAs, to provide general dental services. Services to provide 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm. New Investment in line with Oral Health Needs Assessment to improve access.

Lot 5 - Spalding (Extended Access)
21,000 UDAs, to provide general dental services at Dental Surgery at Johnson Community Hospital in Spalding. Service to provide a range of extended access over and above core hours of Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm. Service to provide urgent dental services to non-regular patients. Activity is being recommissioned following closure of practice.

Lot 6 - Spalding 8 to 8
25, 000 UDAs to provide general dental services 8am to 8pm, 365 days a year including Bank holidays. Service to provide urgent dental care and routine care. Activity is new investment to improve access in line with Oral Health Needs Assessment.

Lot 7 - Louth (Extended Access)
10, 000 UDAs to provide general dental services. Services to provide 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon to Fri 9.00am to 5.00pm. Activity is new investment to improve access in line with Oral Health Needs Assessment.

Lot 8 - Skegness/Spilsby (Extended Access)
5, 000 UDAs to provide general dental services. Services to provide 3 extended access sessions each week over and above core hours Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm. Activity is new investment to improve access in line with Oral Health Needs Assessment.

As a result of this procurement exercise an agreement will be established with the successful bidder(s) for a period of 7 years [with the commissioner having the option to extend the contract for up to a further 3 years].
