Description

To engage and support young people in making informed career or education choices and to support in transitioning from School (or college) to College, alternative educational providers, apprenticeships or employment.

The programme MUST INCLUDE practical workshops to support participants in selecting the correct educational pathway for them, to eliminate or reduce 'dropouts' from selecting the wrong course for their career, skillset or ambitions

The programme should include outline specifications for the following elements:-

o Innovative and creative activities to engage young people at risk of remaining NEET.
o Interventions to help young people explore their skills, strengths and interests, how these match career ideas and identify their preferred vocational choices
o Interventions to increase knowledge of the local labour market and future planning.

The course must be fully timetabled to show the types of activities available and show the percentage mix between activities and classroom-based activities

In the event of another Covid-19 lockdown, Service Providers must have the capacity to deliver the programme remotely and provide evidence of being able to do so.

Potential Service Providers need to demonstrate clear and extensive expertise and experience of working with and delivering courses to eligible 15-29 year olds who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) across the Black Country.
