Description

The iDecide Framework has been coproduced for use by healthcare professionals and women/individuals and their partners during childbirth, which results in informed decision-making about next steps during her labour

The Maternity Transformation Programme wishes to procure the creation of up-to-date, evidence-based, and nationally agreed information about four intrapartum interventions. This should be available antenatally to be used by pregnant women and people and clinicians; both antenatally as part of personalised care and support planning and during the intrapartum period should an intrapartum intervention be recommended. The four intrapartum interventions are:
- fetal monitoring
- augmentation
- assisted vaginal birth
- unplanned Caesarean birth
The information will be available both digitally and in downloadable formats for providers, in the top 10 languages, British Sign Language and in a variety of formats, including webpage text with imagery, PDFs, infographics, social media content and short videos - animated and real life. The information materials must include:
o what the intervention is, how it is undertaken and who will do it?
o What are the benefits and risks to you and your baby and any alternatives
