PLEASE NOTE THIS OPPORTUNITY HAS BEEN ABANDONED AND WILL BE RE-LAUNCHED SHORTLY.
Appointment of a bona fide certified brokerage insurance agent to source and procure a underwriters policy, the latter which will provide a medical health support plan to the Medical Research Council (MRC) personnel and families located overseas. The MRC's research Units are primarily in The Gambia, West Africa and Uganda, East Africa for "ex-pats" work and require the provision of a company comprehensive health support plan (renewable yearly) for accessing local and UK medical facilities for themselves as MRC workers and their families. The appointed broker will be expected to provide to the MRC management and it's staff a full claims management and claims administrative service from first episode to settling of claim(s) cycle.
Supplementary to the sourcing of the medical health plan a Africa to UK travel cover policy will needed via the appointed broker.

As part of the strategic alliance between UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), UK SBS can use the CCS eSourcing Suite for future procurements. Once you have registered on the eSourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. This is done by emailing Expressionofinterest@crowncommercial.gov.uk Your email must clearly state: the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for; the name of the registered Bidder; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email. Crown Commercial Service will process the email and then enable the Bidder to access the procurement online via the e-Sourcing Suite. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done.
