Description
In 2016 the Borough of Poole commissioned an options study for the upgrading of Winchelsea Special School. This study considered the potential for replacing the existing mobile classrooms with permanent accommodation and upgrading the current buildings to provide suitable accommodation. The study considered a number of options which formed a phased development programme
In 2016 the Borough of Poole carried out some urgent works to remodel the WCs in the main building and create a new hygiene room. During this work it became apparent that there were serious issues with low water pressure. Following surveys of all the services, it was clear that it would be beneficial to upgrade the hot and cold water services and the heating services throughout and that it would be sensible to ensure sufficient capacity for the proposed future extensions whilst carrying out these works.
