Description

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) would like to invite interested parties to attend a Supplier Day concerning the provision of Low Carbon and Climate Resilient Urban Planning activities in China.

The China Prosperity Fund is looking to procure a commercial partner to deliver activities within the thematic area of low carbon and climate resilient urban planning. The approximate budget for this work is £4-5m out to March 2022.

The supplier will need to meet the following essential criteria:
1. Expertise in the field of low carbon and climate resilient urban planning.
2. A strong working relationship with key Chinese Ministries, including the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the National Development and Reform Commission.
3. Experience of delivering successful multi-million pound programmes in China at the local (provincial/municipal) level, with the support of the Chinese ministries mentioned above.
4. Experience of forming and managing a consortium to successfully deliver programmes.
5. Has access to a range of market providers, both Chinese and international, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to deliver innovative solutions to tackling climate change.

At this stage, FCDO seeks expression of interest in participating in the early market engagement. Non-participation in this event will not be taken into account in any future procurement. The purpose of this notice is to explore the market, inform the specifications and help us decide on the best procurement route and strategy.

This is not a call to competition and does not constitute the commencement of the procurement process.

The virtual Supplier Day will be hosted on 22nd of September 2020 and it is expected to start at 9:00 p.m. GMT (16:00 a.m. Beijing time).
