Description

The Space Technology Applications from Research (STAR) project at the University of Leicester requires a Coordinate Measuring Machine, suitable for the accurate measurement of precision components, made from various grades of Stainless Steels/Steels, Aluminium Alloys, Brass, Copper Molybdenum and other materials. The Machine is needed to support a wide range of research groups and projects within the STAR project to measure/check components to a level of high accuracy for space flight and other areas of Engineering based research.

The University proposes awarding a contract for a suitable machine by carrying out an open tender exercise.
