Description
The proposed scheme involves the widening of the A40 Westbound and A417 Southbound approaches to the roundabout to build additional lanes and increase the capacity of this roundabout. The circulatory carriageway will also be widened to include an additional lane. The scheme will include: • Installation of new sheet piled retaining walls on the Westbound and Southbound approaches. Night time working requiring silenced equipment. • Modification of Splitter islands; • Relocating and upgrading existing drainage; • Managing diversions of statutory undertakers plant and upgrading of street lighting by Others; • Upgrading of signs; • Resurfacing of the roundabout and approach arms Tender period: 12th February - 19th March 2018 Anticipated Works Start Date: 30th April 2018 Completion: 31st August 2018 Overall Duration: 18 weeks The proposed procurement route will be a single stage (sub-OJEU Open Procedure) using the NEC3 ECC form of Contract, Option A Priced Contract with Activity Schedule.
