Description

The primary purpose of this brief is to seek the services of a suitably experienced fish pass design engineer to carry out rapid on-site assessments of four barriers in the Rye catchment, undertaking design work and flow modelling at each site. These feasibility studies, rapid option appraisals and estimated costs for the preferred solutions will then be used to progress schemes, or to attract match funding for the Ryevitalise scheme, so that barriers can be addressed to improve fish passage (for all fish species) in the Rye.
The second purpose is for the appointed consultant to produce fully costed construction design drawings for the priority barrier (and second priority barrier if budget allows), with installation details, management considerations and paperwork for submission to the National Fish Pass Panel (if applicable).
