Description

Requirement
An evaluation of the Countryside Stewardship (CS) agreement scale monitoring project is required to understand the effectiveness and reliability of the CS baseline methodologies used, identify potential improvements and provide guidance for future surveying.

Objectives
1. Evaluate how CS baseline monitoring fits within the context of broader AES, species and environmental monitoring?
2. Evaluate CS baseline methods.
3. Evaluate the overarching design of CS baseline monitoring.
4. Evaluate the appropriateness of the data collection, data format and data storage.
5. Future improvements for CS monitoring and identify improvements which can be used to inform future Environment Land Management (ELM) baseline monitoring design and delivery.
