Description

Norfolk County Council is seeking suppliers of furniture, white goods and other household items, with a particular focus on second-hand and refurbished household goods, that can supply goods for people helped under its Norfolk Assistance Scheme (NAS). The NAS is seeking suppliers of second-hand goods that can provide choice and also deliver goods to people unable to collect them.

The NAS is aimed at assisting vulnerable people to set up home following family breakdown, resettlement into the community, homelessness, domestic violence and unforeseen crises. The council is keen to maximise its funding and reducing landfill by moving away from providing new goods and promoting the use of reused items wherever possible. This framework agreement will enable the authority to purchase furniture and other household goods whilst focusing on social value.

This will be a framework agreement which will allow the council's NAS to call-off direct awards on the basis of locality, availability of goods, ability to deliver, quality and price. Please note that as this is a framework agreement there is no guarantee of work.

Providers are not required to be able to cover the whole of Norfolk or be able to provide all items that may be required, but must be able to demonstrate that they are providing value for money.
