Description
This notice is to support the NHSBSA's Pre-Tender Market Engagement for the Secure Destruction and Disposal of Confidential Waste Service for bulk volumes of paper waste on a monthly basis from Newcastle upon Tyne plus potential additional ad hoc requirements of bulk paper waste throughout the rest of the NHSBSA's UK estate.
The purpose of this notice is to engage with the market in relation to a potential contract opportunity and invite the market operators to a supplier day via MS Teams which the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) intends to carry out on Monday 18.10.2021 and to complete a Request for Information (RFI).
This invitation has also been published on the Find my Tender Service: https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/023958-2021
Additional related information provided and produced by the NHSBSA during the supplier day including slide packs, indicative timeline, anonymised summary of the Q&A arising from the supplier day, RFI, and any one-to-one sessions will be made available on the NHSBSA's website at https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome
The anticipated core requirement will be to securely destroy and dispose (recycle) paper copies of prescriptions forms. There will be approximately 80 pallets of records to be destroyed each month with an anticipated volume of 55,000kg per month.
From market research it is envisaged that this volume and frequency of wastepaper has the potential to generate a revenue in the paper recycling market and the NHSBSA anticipates that it will receive a portion of this revenue from the provider who can destroy and dispose of the waste.
Interested parties should register an interest by 17:00 Monday 11.10.2021.
1. Register your company on the eSourcing portal https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome
2. Send an email to nhsbsa.commercialservicesteam@nhs.net confirming your account set up
Suppliers will then be issued with a link to the MS Teams session, a prospectus and RFI.
More details on registering on the e-sourcing portal can be found here: https://services.atamis.co.uk/videos/HFWebinars/HealthFamilySupplierPortalRegistrationVideo.mp4
This is not a call for competition, an invitation to tender nor invitation to offer an agreement and will not result in an award of a contract. If you do not wish to take part in this RFI exercise, it will not affect any current or future business with the NHSBSA.
Participation will not qualify you to provide any services or products to the NHSBSA and will not guarantee an invitation to submit an offer as part of any future procurement exercise. The NHSBSA will not accept any liability for costs incurred by you in participating in this exercise.
