Description
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking a recognised and reputable contractor to refurbish and install additional new play equipment in the current playground at Charlton Park. It is aimed to provide additional play value, more variety for all abilities and increased accessibility around the playground.
Regeneration of the playground feeds directly into the strategic aims of the Parks & Open Spaces Strategy to provide safe, accessible play areas that offer diverse and challenging play scenarios and supports the Public Health objective to reduce childhood obesity.
Driving the vision for the playground is the desire to provide additional play facilities in a safe and inclusive environment that will encourage outdoor recreation in an area of high-density housing.
The objective is to develop a design that will look at the space holistically and address current issues, and provide a playground with increased play value, interest, learning and enjoyment for all abilities.
