Description

The Council requires a supplier to deliver an outdoor Christmas projection show in the Colmore Business Improvement District (BID) as part of the Christmas in Cathedral Square activities.

Birmingham has been granted funding under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Welcome Back Fund to support the safe reopening of high streets and other commercial areas.
A proportion of this funding is to develop events in a number of urban centre across the city in a covid safe manner which will drive footfall back to high streets and shopping areas.

This contract is available for use for projects funded externally from the Council including Reopening High Streets Safely Fund and Welcome Back Fund which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth.

The projection show will take place from 17 November 2021 to 19 December 2021 from 5pm to 8pm in Birmingham city centre.

The projection will need to be beamed on to Birmingham Cathedral as part of the Christmas in Cathedral Square activity, permissions have already been sought by Colmore BID.

Christmas in Cathedral Square will offer a mixture of craft, gift, food and drink stalls. The market will provide a platform for local businesses, producers and craftspeople to showcase their goods in the run up to Christmas, complementing other established festive events in the city centre.
