Description
A service to ensure the provision of appropriate, clean needle exchange equipment for injecting drug users who present at East Riding of Yorkshire pharmacies offering a needle and syringe exchange service. The successful provider will prepare and deliver colour coded packs to meet the needs of injecting drug users containing needles, syringes and other associated items such as citric acid, swabs, sharps bins etc. to pharmacies around the East Riding. The service will be delivered in line with NICE guidance PH52.
The service is to begin on 1 April 2020 for an initial term of three (3) years, with options to extend for up to a further two (2) years. Any extension will be at the sole discretion of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Tenders for this contract should be submitted through the Yortender electronic portal http://www.yortender.co.uk
